In 2024, we designed the visual identity for Hadath Al Khatt; an event that brings calligraphers, designers, and lovers of Arabic calligraphy together in one place, creating a shared space for dialogue, inspiration, and exchange. The event marked the beginning of a renewed wave of interest in Arabic calligraphy, not only as a traditional art form but as a contemporary visual language with the potential to evolve, experiment, and reach new generations. Its ambition was to position calligraphy as a living practice rooted in heritage yet open to modern expression. The identity was designed to be expandable and adaptable, capable of accommodating multiple voices and expressions like the calligraphy scene itself. We are proud to have collaborated closely with the event’s team on shaping this identity, and honored to contribute to the visual memory of what became a defining moment in the contemporary Arabic calligraphy movement.
